A well defined business strategy with clear tactical steps is essential for success. A well defined strategy is easy to articulate, well understood by all involved, and is the guiding principle in all decisions. Most importantly, the strategy keeps an organization focused. When the strategy and tactical steps are clear, prioritization of initiatives and decision making are easily accomplished.
151 Ventures can help you define a strategy that is aligned with your company’s goals and vision and build that tactical plan for success. Most organizations have a general sense of their strategy but no process or plan to execute it. This is how the 151 team can help. The strategy will have a tactical component that the 151 team delivers which can be implemented throughout the organization.
In order for a business strategy to be successful, it must be translated into a tactical plan, and continuously monitored against market forces and competitive changes.
- Phase One
- Examine the business offering or product(s) in relationship to the competitive landscape and market needs. Once the offering is aligned with market needs and clearly defined and differentiated relative to the competition, the next phase of strategy development begins.
- Phase Two
- Review of all aspects of the organization to ensure there is complete alignment with the strategy. 151 Ventures will conduct interviews and workshops and make recommendations to ensure consistent focus across: marketing, sales, channel, product, technology, operations and customer service.
- Phase Three
- Integrating the plan at a tactical level throughout the organization. Each discipline will examine current activities to ensure alignment with the strategy. Any activities not aligned with the strategy will be discontinued.
By following this methodology to develop and implement a business strategy, a method of prioritization emerges that can be used as an over arching filter for all activities.
151 Ventures is experienced in building a plan with the flexibility and metrics that will allow you to measure your success and to capitalize on market opportunities.
